Jail Ministry

Meigs County has two detention centers, the county jail in Pomeroy and the jail in Middleport. The county jail houses male prisoners and Middleport houses both male and females.

Each Sunday and Wednesday mornings men from the church go to these facilities and conduct Bible studies and one on one counseling with the inmates. Inmates are also provided Bibles, prayer journals and stamped envelopes for correspondence with family.

Every Sunday afternoon, the church host refreshments at the Middleport Jail for the inmate’s families as they await their turn during the weekly visitation.

You can contact us at jail@fsbcpomeroy.com for more information.

Baptismal service held at Middleport, Ohio jail on 2/14/13.
